Carbon footprint is the balance of greenhouse gas emissions emitted by an organization, product, or unit, expressed as carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e). Greenhouse gases (GHGs) mainly include CO2, CH4, N2O, and fluorinated gases.
We perform carbon footprint analyses for:
- the entire organization (organizational carbon footprint)
specific products (product carbon footprint)
Reporting carbon footprint provides companies with a way to gather important information for:
- reducing greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs)
- meeting market and customer requirements for carbon footprint information
- fulfilling corporate social responsibility (CSR) and non-financial reporting requirements
- identifying cost reduction opportunities
- considering emission impact in decision-making processes related to suppliers, materials, product design, production processes, etc.

Carbon footprint is calculated based on emissions from three scopes:
Scope 1: Direct greenhouse gas emissions controlled by the company, including fuel combustion, production processes, refrigeration systems, uncontrolled and process-related emissions.
Scope 2: Indirect greenhouse gas emissions associated with purchased electricity and heat from external suppliers.
Scope 3: Other indirect greenhouse gas emissions that the company can influence but does not control, including raw material transportation to the production facility and to customers, business travel, water consumption, wastewater and waste emissions, and related management processes.
We prepare a carbon footprint report in accordance with the requirements outlined in:
